Study of Missions

For many, there isn’t a clear path to becoming a missionary long term. They wrestle with their calling, wonder what the qualifications are, and worry if they can make it physically and financially.

CTM missionary training programs make the journey easy by providing a clear path to a lifetime of impact overseas. Since 1998, College of Theology and Missions has trained Christian missionaries to take the church to where it is not. Our hands-on approach to education will help you become an effective missionary wherever God leads you.

We accomplish this in three ways:

Hands-on Training 

Students get hands-on work experience through practical training and local outreach while on college and then spend 6 to 12 months or more on the missionary field learning while doing missions during their global internship. Graduate students are required to be actively involved in hands-on work regarding intercultural ministry.

Global Missions Focus

Fulfilling the Great Commission by taking the church to where it is not is our chief aim. All faculty, staff, and students who attend CTM overhere are focused on this one great endeavor.

College & Church Collaboration

CTM is part of the larger organization of LMC Global and partners with Local Church missions’ agency to bring the most up-to-date training back to the classroom. In collaboration with Churches, students are commissioned and sent as full-time missionaries into the mission field both home and overseas while on their global internship.

Mission

The mission of College of Theology & Missions is to educate God’s people and Christian citizen-leaders for our society. We do this through our commitment to the transformative power of a Biblical and Missionary education.

Beginning in the classroom with exposure to new ideas, new ways of understanding and new ways of knowing, students embark on a journey of intellectual transformation. Through a diverse living environment, where students live with people who are studying different topics, who come from different walks of life and have evolving identities, intellectual transformation is deepened and conditions for social transformation are created. From this we hope that students will begin to fashion their lives by gaining a sense of what they want to do with their gifts and talents, assessing their values and interests, and learning how they can best serve the world and make a different with faith in Christ Jesus.

History
