Pastoral Ministry

Pastoral ministry is the care and leadership of people in the church. It includes preaching, teaching, counselling, and leading worship. Pastors are called to be examples to their congregations and to shepherd them through their spiritual journey.

This ministry is understood as a divine call to exercise spiritual leadership at the different organizational levels of its ecclesiastical structure. In general, it is usually pastors who lead the different levels of the organization. 

What is the role of a pastor in a church?

Preaching is the act of communicating God’s Word to a congregation. The duties of a pastoral ministry include preaching the Word, teaching, counselling, and leading worship. Pastors are called to be examples of Christ to their congregations and to shepherd them through their spiritual journey. Preaching is an important part of the pastoral ministry.

Essential Aspects of Pastoral Ministry
